Following the Government guidance released on 28th May stating that dental practices can start to reopen from 8th June 2020 we thought we would give you an update with regards to the current position.
Throughout the pandemic, we have been clear that our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and staff, and this continues to be the case. As a result, Norton Dental Practice will only be reopening once we are satisfied that we have all of the necessary processes and personal protective equipment in place to ensure your safety.
Necessary operating procedures are being developed and risk assessments are being carried out currently to ensure that all that attend the practice remain safe. Current safety procedures and social distancing require us to work in a completely different way. We will need to allow plenty of time for each appointment and treatment may require us to stabilise in the first instance. We may also continue to refer patients to Urgent Dental Care if it is required.
We are determined to support patients who need care as quickly as possible and I would like to reassure you that we will be prioritising those patients who need urgent treatment, including those who have been experiencing pain or discomfort during lockdown. In order to allow us time to treat emergencies and to maximise patient safety, all routine examinations and treatment will continue to be delayed until further notice.
If you have an urgent problem, please call 01384 319107 and we will prioritise you and/or contact you for an appointment as soon as one is available.
We are still available for emergency advice regarding painkillers and the provision of antibiotics if required and onward referral as necessary as per NHS guidelines.
We thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Norton Dental Practice.
